**MISSING DUE TO CONSTRUCTION*
Back in 1986, we moved from PA to a quaint little town in western MA named Greenfield. The first Saturday morning there, I packed up the kids in the station wagon and headed over to Adams Donuts. Up to this point, the only donuts I had ever eaten came from the grocery store in a box. Way before there were Dunkin's on every block, every NE town had its own little Ma and Pa shop that only served donuts and coffee. Adams made the best Maple frosted, Irish creme and Boston creme donuts I've ever set my teeth into. Those mouth watering circles of fried dough became my comfort food whenever I got homesick. Yesterday, I went back to see how the town has changed and stopped in for a regular and a Maple frosted. A sweet memory began filling my mouth and my mind. My thoughts raced back to 1986 and visions of the kids, the station wagon and donut heaven. If you ever get a hankerin' for a real home made treat, stop in, its' worth your trip!!

The box is located in Shattuk Park. Park near the ice skating rink next to the high school(5 Barr Ave). Find the playground and follow the stone path past the lone picnic table. Continue 140 paces (70 steps) further look on the right for a 6-7 foot branchless tree standing in front of 2 trees. Your yummy treat is in the bottom of the biggest tree under some bark and mulch.
