Difficulty: Easy

This pair of letterboxes is located at the Wayside Inn Grist Mill. This Grist Mill was the first one ever built as the sole purpose of being a museum. I highly recommend walking through the Mill to see all the cool stuff inside. For more information on the Wayside Inn and Grist Mill, visit www.wayside.org

We planted this letterbox on an afternoon picnic, hence the name. We highly recommend that you find the box after having a serene picnic on the field near the Mill.

CLUES:

These boxes each contain half of one stamp. You will need both boxes to complete the picture. You will also need your own stamp pad and pen. (I recommend using a brown stamp pad for the full effect)

Box #1
To get this box walk up the stairs and behind the Mill. Turn right and cross the wooden bride. Walk down the path until you find a collection of rocks on the ground. Walk across the concrete bridge to you left. Walk around the boulder and to the right, staying along the shoreline. Continue down the trail about 200 feet or so until there is a small opening to the waterfront on your right side. Near the water should be a tree that resembles a swan flapping its wings. The box is in the trunk of this tree. Remember to leave room in your book for the other half of the stamp!

Box #2
To get this box you must go back to where you started at the bottom of the stairs of the Grist Mill. Instead of heading up the stairs, walk down the gravel path to your left. A ways down you will come across a wooden bride on your left. About 30 feet before the bridge is a path on the right. Turn down this path. The path will become grassy, and then rocky again. When it becomes rocky again, look to your right. You should see an opening with a collection of rocks. The letterbox is hidden in the back of this collection. Remember to carefully line of this stamp with the previous one!

And as always, be very discrete, as this is a public place with a lot of people walking around!
