This box is planted to commemorate the 2007 "Fabulous Places" dance recital.

To the Trailhead
From route 309 Northbound, exit at Emmaus Avenue and go south. Continue down the street about 1 mile and turn left onto Alpine Street. Follow Alpine down to a parking lot on the left near a playground. Park Here. Mapquest.com does a good job pinpointing it as “400 Alpine St., Emmaus, PA”

To the Letterbox

Philadelphia
Start at the trail map at the end of Alpine Street. Take the trail immediately to the right of the map. Follow the orange blazes. At first major fork, bear left to follow the orange blazes and look for a skinny tree on the left ringed with an orange blaze. Follow the trail downhill for fourteen paces to a large tree on the right. Philadelphia is at the base of the tree under a SPOR.

Greece
Continue on the trail. You will walk “through” an orange blazed tree that was sawed to allow the trail to pass. At the fork go right, staying on the orange blazed trail, for fourteen paces and will come to a log across the trail. Follow the log to the right to its end and come to a big tree. Go South around the tree to a bigger (huge even) tree. Find SPOR by large rock on edge behind the huge tree.

New York City
Continue on the trail. Go up a steep short hill. Stop at a huge three-trunked tree on the right next to the trail. Look for a large rock behind that tree. Letterbox is under a SPOR under the large rock.

Paris
Continue on the trail. Cross a log bridge. Where the trail turns left you will see a stone wall. Stand on the big flat rock in front of the wall and look at 85 degrees for a tree behind the wall. Letterbox is under a flat rock in the middle of the top of the wall in front of the tree.

Finale
Continue on the trail. Go straight at the intersection, staying on the orange blazed trail. You will pass through a section of trail lined with tree branches on the ground. Go up the hill to the second large (not huge) boulder on the right immediately next to the trail. Stand on this boulder and look for a big rock at 75 degrees. Behind the big rock there is a SPOR in a smaller rock.

To Get Back
You are at about the midway point on the orange trail. Either turn around and follow the orange blazed trail to the parking lot or continue on the orange blazed trail and it will take you back to the parking lot.

(Bring a pen and stamp pad, as the letterboxes have neither)
Note: 1 pace = 2 steps. The pacer was about 5' 2" tall (short paces).

Enjoy.
