This box is located on Deer Park Trail in Cook Forest State Park.

Go to Forest Drive. There will be a sign that says, "Organized Group Camping Area, Permits Necessary, Tents Only, No Picnicking." Park in the immediate area on the right. Walk across the road to Heffern Run Trail. Follow this trail. Go across the bridge. Turn right at the Deer Meadow Trail sign and snowmobile sign. Continue down this trail for awhile. At the time we placed this box there was a large log fallen across the trail. If it is still there, keep going. Soon, you will come to a HUGE rock on the left side of the trail and a TWISTY STUMP directly across on the right side of the trail.

Go to the tree behind the huge rock on the left side of the trail that has an opening at the roots. There is an old vine growing over this tree in an upside down U shape. Look inside the opening under the rock to reveal the 8 POINT BUCK!
