Update 10/26/16: Checked on her and she has a new book, and everything has been rebagged. She does not have a plastic box, but several bags at the moment. PLEASE rehide her well. When I checked on her she was out in plain sight.
This is my first time planting a letterbox. Therefore, this is my first time carving a stamp. This box is in honor of the dog that my family and I rescued from a high kill shelter in March 2007.
The Clues for Please Rescue Me:
Enter the Connecticut College Arboretum at the main entrance on Williams Street across from Connecticut College and take a trail map.
Proceed down the Laurel Walk toward the pond. Stand at the sign from the Class of 1944 and enjoy a lovely view.
Turn right and follow the main trail keeping the pond on your left.
Go past the Theater and turn right at the Acer Rubrum 99-409.
Take the path up the hill behind the Buck Lodge. At the top of the hill there will be a big boulder on your right.
Turn right and go toward the opening in the stone wall that leads to the theater.
At the opening of the wall turn right and walk 20 steps along the wall. You should be facing the pond.
The prize you seek is near base of 3 sassafras trees.
***Please re-hide well and better than you found it.***
*Make sure you bring clues for “Who’s Coming to Lunch”*
