LOST- 7/7/10
Take Calumet Rd. in Methuen (runs alongside the Walls Lincoln Mercury dealer) and continue straight (turns in Jason Rd.). At the end of Jason Rd., the box is hidden directly across the road in the wooded area alongside the river. You can take a right on Riverview Blvd. and park on the road. This is a residential neighborhood so please be respectful!
Look for the row of large rocks on the road with a cleared area. Walk past the rocks and through the clearing. Keep walking toward the river until you see a rock tributing the Methuen Conservation Commission for the Henry P. Schruender Memorial Park. While standing at the rock, facing the river, go left on the path directly behind the rock. About 30 paces ahead on the path, you will see a big three-trunked tree just to the left of the path. The Merrimack River Box is hidden in a hole at the base of the tree, facing the path.
Please rehide well so the box is not mistaken for trash. Take a minute to walk about the short trails and take a peek at the Merrimack just down the slope! Enjoy!
