This is a replacement box. The original went missing very soon after it was planted.

ADDRESS: 3210 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Stafford, VA 22554 - this address is actually for the motel that is next door to the crucifix site.

NOTE: This site is located on a very busy highway. Please be sure to pull off the road as far as possible next to the crucifix and use extreme caution when exiting your vehicle, especially when accompanied by children. There is plenty of room to park off of the road, but caution is needed. Please also use extreme caution when going back onto the road from the Crucifix area.

Aquia Crucifix Letterbox
Located on Route 1/Jefferson Davis Highway at the Telegraph Rd forked intersection in Stafford. If you are traveling North on Rt. 1, the crucifix is on the right just past the St. William of York Catholic Church. (Note: Rt 1 and Telegraph intersect a second time farther down the road - the letterbox is located at the forked section of Rt. 1 and Telegraph, and the large crucifix is easily seen.)

Once at the crucifix:
Read the information on the front of the crucifix. Read the information on the back of the crucifix. Count the number of people mentioned within the placard on the back of the crucifix, and keep that number in mind. When you are finished, turn around 180 degrees. You should see two rock posts. Walk through the posts and head on over to the tree line. Remember your number? Find the tree that has that number of multiple trunks. Your letterbox is located within the tree, where all the trunks converge together. It should be covered with leaves - please recover when you replace the box.
