Hike Distance?

This letter box is located in beautiful Holliday Park, 6363 Spring Mill Road in Indianapolis, IN. You can park in any of the parking lots; the north lot is closes to the Nature Center. Start by enjoying the Nature Center or find the letter box and return to enjoy the Nature Center.

If you are ready to find the letter box head outside the nature center, up where the steps come down to the entrance of the nature center, this is a good place to start. From here head south to the first path to the east, this is on the south west side of the building. You will find a path that starts with a rock that has a Shakespeare quote. Take that path toward east toward the nature center, watch for chickadees on the flowers nearby. Go past the wooden fence keeping it on your right. The path will “T”, turn right; keep to the left between the large rocks. Follow the path down the hill, watch your step. At the bottom of the hill stay to the left, don’t go on the bridge to the right. At the pond, circle to the right of the pond and cross the bridge and stay to the left. At the “Y”: stay to the right up a slight hill. Turn at the first left up the hill, you should pass a bench and notice the forest looking a little dead to the left after the bench. You will also notice a bent tree to the left as you go down a slight hill. Take a right at the “T” and go up the steps, how many are there? Shortly after you reach the top of the steps there is a sharp cut back path to the left, take it. You will see a fat looking tree on your right. You will come to a tree in the middle of the path, a reading of 300⁰ or looking to the right of the tree will point you toward a large tree. Take around 8 paces toward the tree stopping on the right side of the tree. As the tree is on your left take a look to the right down by a small bush under several sticks leaning on the bush, it may also be covered with some leaves. This is where you should find the letter box.

Please stamp yours and then stamp ours or right a little note if you like. Place everything back in the container and put it back as you found it. Good luck, and have fun!
