Off Vermont Interstate 89 Take exit 4 (Randolph exit) if coming from the North going south take a left off the exit. If coming from the South going north take a right off the exit. Drive up a winding hill. As you come to a three-way intersection you’ll notice Vermont Technical College in front of you as the road veers sharply left. Pass Floyds General Store (They only accept cash so if you plan on making a pit stop for a bite to eat or a snack bring some cash on hand)

Take the first road on the right, after you passed Floyds store. Driving straight on this road you will pass Lake Champagne Campground on your left and fields on your right. At the end of this road you will enter the gates of the Veterans Cemetery with 13 Old Glory’s waving in front of you. This Cemetery has several sections to it so just keep driving to you reach the top. Circle around and as you drive down look for a stone bench marked “In memory of P.F.C. James Robinson P.O.W. 1929-1950”

About 10 paces from this bench you will find a rock wall. Between two young maple tree saplings you will find what you seek at your feet hidden under stone. Please be discreet and re hide well, this is a well-visited area. Feel free to explore around the wonders of this cemetery and be surrounded by some of Vermont’s heroes and history.
