At last, a second box in the series.

Fairybelle is located in Riata Park, a small city park in Northwest Austin. Take 183 North from Mopac or 360 to the Oak Knoll exit. As soon as you exit, get into the right lane to turn right onto Riata Trace Parkway. If you make it to the Oak Knoll light, you’ve gone to far. If you’re coming south on 183, you must exit Duval and make a U-turn.

On Riata Trace Parkway, you’ll pass a small strip mall on your right and 3 business park entrances. Turn right into the fourth entrance marked 12365 Riata Trace Parkway. There is a sign for Pervasive. In the parking lot, take an immediate left and follow the edge of the parking lot around to the playscape and tennis courts. If you park next to the handicapped space, the sidewalk will take you to the playscape. If you park farther down, you’ll see the playscape through the bushes and be able to take a path down.

Standing on the playground, face the tennis courts and take the sidewalk to the left of the tennis courts. At the tennis court stairs, take the path on the right (which is between the left path and the stairs). The path will merge with another path that loops around the pond. Go right. At the next intersection, go right again. (The left path here continues around the pond, which is nice, but does not hide a letterbox.) You’ll pass a nice wood bench on the right. Continue on the trail. The next intersection is a bit further. Take the left branch. You will come to a stone bench on the right. Behind the bench is a tree with lots of narrow trunks. You’ll find Fairybelle under rocks and leaves at the bottom of the trunks.
