DESTROYED!!
It's possible walk or bike across the Connecticut River from Old Saybrook to Old Lyme (or vice versa!)along the Baldwin Bridge. One stamp of Connecticut was cut in half with one half residing on either side of the river. Leave room for the other half when you do the first one.

Find your way to the "Pedestrian and Bike Route to Bridge" sign in Old Saybrook. (No, I'm not going to tell you where it is. I usually only put out mysteries!) Follow the walkway up to the two monuments. Walk behind the shrubbery in back of the monuments. Stand where the first monument and the 5 sister sumac line up. Look under the yew.

You may continue over the bridge to get "East of the River" or turn around back to your car for a drive over the Connecticut.
