Recently, while riding my bike on this great new bike trail, I came across a family with their dogs playing in the pond along the way. What impressed me about this little group was that the kids all wore the same color bathing suits and their 2 black Labs had matching colored collars. I sat on one of the benches and watched this family for a few moments as they packed up to leave. They headed back down the trail with their beach chairs, blanket, and cooler. To my amazement, these items were the exact same color as the bathing suits and collars. When they reached the restaurant where they parked, the family all piled into the same color SUV. I know people are sometimes obsessed with bright colors, but I never realized just how much.
Make your way to the new rail trail in Winchendon at the corner of Rtes. 12 and 202N (Glenallen Rd). Upon your entry onto the trail, hike or ride down the trail passing the wood fence on your right. As you're go, notice the pond on your right. The wild life, assorted ducks and birds are amazing to watch. Directly across from the end of the fence, look for a many armed weeping pine. What you seek is around its back, hanging out so it can't be seen from the path. Use your colored makers to fill in if "it really suits you".
