I-5 to Gold Hill, Oregon
From 234, East from Gold Hill, take Meadows North to East Evans Creek Road. At about .7 miles, on left is a '14 day campground'
From the Rogue River exit, (exit48) make an immediate left after crossing the RR tracks. Contimue straight through the four-way stop. This is Pine street, but it becomes East Evans Creek Road. Follow through Wimer (making a RIGHT at the stop sign) and continue on past the old one-room schoolhouse (about 7 miles). Continue about 4-5 more miles. There, on the RIGHT is a stone house with a metal roof. Past that about a mile is a tiny, beautiful canyon. where you will find a little campground on the right. Enter the campground...
Pull down the bank to the campground, turn RIGHT and park, just before the trail that leads through the woods.
Stand with your back to the front passenger door of your vehicule, and walk forward, up a slight hill toward the road. There, you will find a fairly small, rotten stump. You are surrounded by Doug Firs, even at the base of the stump.
