Directions:
This letterbox is at Meteor Crater in Arizona. This is an interesting site to see in Arizona. To get to Meteor Crater Natural Monument, take Interstate-40 for 20 miles to winslow. Take exit 233. You will go 6 miles down a road with an RV park at the beginning of it. When you reach the crater entrance, you will notice there is an entrance fee. For the fee and more information about the crater, go to www.meteorcrater.com
Clues:
From the Front Gate, Take the stairs or the elevator up to a courtyard. Then head to the Gift Shop. From the Gift Shop go up the stairs to a sign that says the doors at the left lead out to the crater. The other way is the Museum. You should check this out on the the way out along with the Gift Shop. Outside the doors is a rest stop with benches and a water fountain. You can follow the path down to an observation deck with 8 telescopes on it. Now head down the stairs to the right to a platform with a metal girder shelter. Walk east along the railing with all the dedication plaques(there are 6 of them) to a no tresspassing sign. Now face north and look upat a small cave made of 3 rocks. It looks like a triangle. climb up to it and look above and right at a rock shelf. It is on this shelf with a bunch of rocks in front of it. I t is best to go get this box early in the morning or later in the day right before closing time. They stop letting people in at about 6 and kick evryone out at 6:30. Please replace well and make sure it is hidden good. There is also another letterbox at this site. Check the letterbox list for its clues.
