This is located in Quercus Wilderness Area. It is a Mahaska County Park. To learn more visit their website at http://www.mahaskaconservation.com/recreation/quercus.php
Follow the paved trail to the lookout. Follow the mowed grass path on your left to it’s end. On your right is a critter walking path. Follow that. On your left you will see 2 trees standing together, in between them another has fallen. Look up and down to see this critter scurry between the trees. Look under the fallen to find his tracks. Don’t touch the fallen. Just look behind and move the small stick.
*Hunting is allowed in some Mahaska County Parks. Please read all posted signs and respect any park rules. Wear appropriate clothing during hunting seasons.
