If you look closely (if you're not the driver) while traveling along I-80 eastbound in PA, you will see a lot of ferns. Stop in the rest area and weigh station at about mile marker 193 and you will see a lot more.
Park in the car area and walk up to the table to the left of the shed. There will be ferns all along the forest edge. Look left and walk toward the tunnel. Between the last two tables on the right there is a tree with rocks around the base. Look under the big rock to the right. There are small rocks and leaves covering the fern you're looking for.
