~Well, our young man turned two today. It is hard to believe he is that old already. He is such a wonderful dog. Although his coat has changed from the all black of his puppy hood to mostly gray (common in black Labradoodles at an early age), he is still full of LOTS of energy.

He still loves his dog parks, but most dogs cannot tire him out, so... that is why this box is on a longer hike.

Make your way to Copp Park in Groton on route 184 near its intersection with Gungywamp Road. Park in the lot there and head out on the yellow trail.

There are many ways to get to where you need to go. In the end you need to be at the overlook above the Groton Reservoir. There is a wooden sign leaning against a tree here telling you that you have arrived. (There are clues to other boxes that also bring you to this spot-hint, hint.)

You will notice two yellow arrows painted on the rocks here. They tell you the two directions that the yellow path goes. But, there is a third, unblazed path. Head southerly down this path for about 50 steps and stop. You should be at a large rock/ledge. Go right, clockwise, a few steps around it and come to a crevice/overhang in the rock. Look here for Reilly's second birthday box. Please be sure to re-hide this box well and naturalize the area.

There is no ink in this box, but black will do nicely.

Enjoy your walk and these wonderful trails.

Flutterby~
