These are micro boxes and the logbook is in the last box.
On rt 44 in Norfolk is botelle elementary school. Turn into the schools lower driveway near the playground. Drive down and park across from the tennis courts. Walk down around silver pole gate. Notice the info on the pole. (there will be many along the way) this is station #1 and tells about bluebirds and the field. Walk up the roadway into the meadow. Pass the blackberry river water shed. Plaque and station #2. Walk along until the road / path starts to enter the woods. Go into the woods on right about 20 steps to a large 3 sister tree. (only one sister is stil growing) under a large rock behind a flat rock you’ll find :
Head down the path and you will come to station # 3 ( rag and map ) on right. Just past # 3 you will see a yellow arrow pointing right. Follow arrow ( a little over grown but there is a trail here) . You will come unpon station #4 (pond) on left. Head on path to a yellow blaze there’s a 2 sister pine tree on left across from a field of bouldrs on right. In between the sisters under rocks is the .
If you pass the field of ferns you’ve gone to far.
Continuing on pass the ferns to 2 cut logs . See a large pine tree on left . In front of it is a dead looing maple with holes in the roots. * is in the hole under a rock across from top of cut pine tree.
As you keep going you’ll pass station #5 and after re-entering the woods go to station 36 . Look behind it to the large 2 sister grey birch with the moss covered rock in front. About 3 ft up in between sisters under some bark is a versatile symbol.. Depending on how you stamp it it can be a , or ( )
Just after station 37 (cross section charcoal mound)white trial goes to the left but you want to stay on yellow until you come to a large shaggy grey birch on the left under a boulder is another versatile symbol. It can be a / or a ----. if you go past the 90 degree hemlock on left you’ve gone to far.
Go farther down a small hill to a large birch tree on right with a large knot about 8 ft up. You will find the @ symbol under large boulder behind it..
After this it got a little sloppy walking. Stay on the yellow trail (not up the hill) go about 150 ft to the broken beech tree arched over the trail with yellow blaze on it. In the base of this tree is the # sign or pound symbol.
Heading down the trial you will cross the brook curving to the left.
Pass the swamp on the right , crossing the brook again you’ll come to a large 3 sister tree. Look to the right for a fallen tree running parallel with trail . The “ “ are in the end of the log close at to you under some twigs. If you pass double yellow blaze you’ve gone to far. Moving on you’ll cross the brook again and come to a large 3 sister in the path. In the middle of the sisters under some rocks you’ll find the ??? .
Further down the white trail comes in on the left. At the white/ yellow blaze tree look right into the woods to a large birch tree with 4 tall sisters about 4 ft up in the crook is the % symbol.
We couldn’t find station number 8. If you do please let us know where. Pass station number 9 and station number 10 . Notice there are some spots on the left if you want to see the swamp . At station number 11 on the left look to the right for a fallen tree parallel to trail there you’ll find the ; behind the fallen tree under some bark. Notice the 2ft pointed stumps from the beavers. Be careful going down and up the embankment to the wooden foot bridges. Go past station number 12 and station 13. The trail turns right. Walk until you start into a group of fallen trees that were cut to clear the trail . Go to large fallen pine tree on the right . Look to the left across the path for a crocked beech tree with 2 15inch logs stacked in front of it. The log book and the !!! Are behind these logs. Please residual
Keep going down the trail for about 200ft and turn right . You are now on the main trail you started on and should see station 3 again follow trail back to your car.
