Drive-by with short walk
This letterbox is hidden at the Snow Canyon Overlook of Snow Canyon State Park - a must to see, while visiting the St. George area.
From St. George, head north on Bluff Street. At the intersection of Bluff St. and Snow Canyon Parkway, Bluff St. becomes Highway 18.
Continue north on Highway 18 for approximately 6.2 miles beyond this intersection. Turn left just after the cement barrier, towards the Snow Canyon Overlook.
Drive across the pedestrian walk, onto the dirt road. Keep right for 1/4 mile to the 2nd parking area, and park.
Walk on the road to the right.
When you come to a small turn-out to the right, stop. Walk to the left, towards the canyon, then to the right (northwest) along the edge of the canyon.
Watch for a thin rusted steel post with white painted stripe. Go just beyond the post three paces (to the right if you are facing the canyon). At the base of the dark lava, facing you, is a crevice where you will find the box.
After stamping, please replace the box in the crevice. Enjoy the view!
