Park at the Pineland Maine State Forest trail parking lot on the Depot Hill Road. The parking lot is on right when coming from Pineland on Rt. 231.
Take the left trail from the parking lot. Do not go on the South trail. Keep following the trail. Go down a steep hill to the river. Go back up the hill and turn left, follow the blue blazes. As you walk beside the stream look for tall rocky cliffs. When you see the cliffs cross the stream and climb to the cliff top. On the cliff top, search for a broken tree. At the base you will find the letter box.
