Update: 11/20/2018: “Little House on the Prairie” is officially replaced.

Update: 11/15/2018: Ownership has been transferred to Wønxm.

FYI: I'm told that three of the four boxes are missing as of April 2011. I now live in Canada and sadly can't service them. Anyone interested in adoption, please let me know!

Update March 2012: On a visit back to Ames, I checked up on these boxes and happily found 3 of the 4 still remaining.

Update November 2014: Received a lovely message from one of the librarians. Apparently, the library experienced a renovation, and now the only box remaining is "The Secret Garden".

I am a lover of books. Growing up, the characters in these books were my friends! I gave the first book in this series to my niece (Molly) when she turned one. I gave the second book in this series to my niece (Ruth) when she turned one. Both of my sisters (their moms) asked me, "what are you thinking? She's only one. She won't be able to read for years!" And I simply responded, "It's never too early to cultivate an interest in literature!"

If you haven't read these (no matter how old or young), I recommend you do. Adventure, laughter, tears, mystery, and more await you!

These boxes were inspired by "Reynold & Helena" in Columbus, Ohio. I found their library boxes on a roadtrip and enjoyed the search. They are small and held by a magnet underneath the bottom shelf of the books. You must kneel (discretely) down and reach under the bottom shelf under each book to find them. Each box will be directly below the book. Please be very careful finding the boxes, finding a clever place to stamp in, and returning the boxes. The librarians and staff at the libraries DO NOT know these boxes are there. Take care!!

Bring your own ink.
