**NOTE: 10/02/03 - TrueBlue has been temporarily removed due to damage. Will be replaced ASAP and updated here. In the meantime, if you search for the first box in the series, PLEASE be sure to seal all bags VERY carefully!**

“While there are only two boxes in this series right now, inspiration may strike and make more of a crowd!”

-Terrain Level: EASY! Leisurely walk – flat, wide trails. This is a great place to take the family for a little fun together! (See Box #2 description for more details on this Park!)
-Time: 30 minute leisurely walk, round-trip..Please note! The park closes at DUSK!

(*)Box #1: Surely A Miracle…Understandably Everyone’s Love
He’s cute, and he’s growing, and he’s in the thoughts and prayers of all who have had fortune to hear of him. In honor of a tremendous baby boy and his amazing family, we are sharing: Surely A Miracle…Understandably Everyone’s Love: The Letterbox. This was truly an inspired carving…can’t wait ‘til he’s out here to find it himself!

(*)Box #2: True Blue: The Letterbox
Inspired by the strong friendships that can develop between children at play, True Blue is placed appropriately in a GREAT park, full of playgrounds (check out the FUN FORT!), sports fields, campsites, nature trails, and even opportunities to venture out with the family’s four-legged friends (on 6’ leashes, of course).

Driving Directions to the Park:
You can download pdf file directions (with Adobe Acrobat) by visiting:
http://www.wsscpa.org/pdf/LATPDir.pdf
These directions will guide you specifically from Mechanicsburg, Shiremanstown, Harrisburg, Carlisle, and York.

In case you can’t download the information linked above, summarized directions from major interstates (I-81 and I-83) are listed below.

I-81: Take I-81to Route 581. Exit onto Route 15 South (toward Gettysburg) from 581. Take the Rossmoyne Road/Wesley Drive exit and turn left off the ramp. Travel for approximately 1.5 miles, until you come to a “T” in the road (you will have passed Rossmoyne Elementary School on your left and will continue on to cross a bridge and a railroad track before you come to the “T.” Just so you know you’re on the right track.). Turn right onto Lisburn Road (there is a nearly immediate “Y” in the road after turning onto Lisburn…make sure you follow the curve to the left), and continue on Lisburn Road for approximately 2.5 hilly and curvy miles. Lower Allen Community Park is on the left side of Lisburn Road – just look for the red barn. The park’s main entrance is just past the barn. *

I-83: Take I-83 to Exit 39A (Old Exit 18) – Lewisberry Road - and turn left at the end of the ramp, following the signs for Route 114 West to Lisburn. You will travel for approximately 5.3 miles, passing Fairview Elementary School, (approx. 0.1mi. past Fairview Elementary, there is a “Y” in the road at Fairview Bethel Church of God…make sure you curve to the left!), the light blue Fairview Township Building, the Cedar Lodge (curve right up the hill when facing the Cedar Lodge), and Mt. Zion Elementary School…make sure you turn right at the “Y” in the road across from Mt. Zion Elementary School/beside Mt. Zion Church! Continue to follow 114 W through Lisburn (you will cross the Yellow Breeches Creek and pass the Lisburn Fire Hall along your way). At the intersection of Route 114 (Main Street in Lisburn) and Lisburn Road, there is a 4-way stop. Turn right and go about 500 feet to the park entrance on the right, just before the red barn. *

*ONCE YOU ENTER THE PARK:
Drive straight past the map, and continue up the small hill. A large white sign with several blue arrows will send you where you want to go. If you’d like a quick rest stop, head to the little red-brown building at the right split. Otherwise, continue left toward the Camping Area to set forth on your mission.
Straight ahead through the parking lot and curve to the right (Camping sites and Soccer field signs on the right of that road), and note the picnic tables and white nature trail signs to your left…you’ll be heading in here on foot. Drive straight ahead to the parking lot by the soccer fields or up above if this lot is already full. Park and head back to the Nature Trail Signs. Your journey on foot is about to begin.

(*)(*)(*)(*))(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)

Enter the trail at the arrow so white, and turn left at the pole, an unlucky number on site.
Pass unlucky + 1 and you’re on your way; Keep walking, and continue over the metallic terrain.
Pass 15, but at 16 pause…look both ways and take a stroll over the troll’s wooden abode.

Immediately a split – head right for a ways. Just round that curve, when the straightaway begins, on the right of the trail, two tree bases remain. About 4 feet apiece they stand out ‘side the trail. Look carefully inside, and you will find S.A.M.U.E.L..

Stamp in and re-hide, you’ve no time to lag!
Another box you must find, no feet shall you drag!
And remember before you step on from this place,
that this box must hide well, lest it come face to face….
With a stranger who doesn’t appreciate the time,
It takes to turn a neat mystery into a rhyme!
Continue as you were on the trail you were on, :)
Away from the bridge and go further along.

Just past marker 3, turn on the trail to the right …a glimpse at the water and a white sign is in sight.
Follow this path (see 4?) along the Yellow Breeches Creek; You’ll pass 5 and might stop if it’s a soothing view of the water you seek.
At six, again a clearing, and a great tree at the apex of the bend.
At the fork head to 7; across a bridge yet again.
At 8 stop…yes, pause…

Look down and look up. Spot an interesting tree with an interesting lump! Look right from the tree to his split, crooked friend, note the moss on his base and you’ve come to the end. Search carefully inside and hidden well, we hope, you will find what you seek…first you prod and you poke! (Watch out for spiders! They love to web here!)

Whew! You’ve stamped and you’ve hidden (exactly as found – this place is quite popular, snooping eyes all around!)
And now you need to get out – of this there is no doubt!
“No problem,” we trumpet, “enjoy this little route!”

Continue as you were, and look for people on the other side - Uh-oh, did they see you find or re-hide?
Pass Site #4 and the marker carved 9, then Site #3 and its bench – oh so fine.
Site 2 and Site 1 come quickly by, soon it’s 10, follow curve to the right, find eleven and then…..
Tah Dah you’re home free…for straight, slightly right,
Sits your car and the fun you anticipate! :)

We hope you’ll take some time to enjoy the great sections this park has to offer! Drive around and explore…Have a Blast!
