BOXES CHECKED TODAY: BOXES 1 AND 3 ARE MISSING. SERIES RETIRED AS OF 6/4/15

6/2/13 Clues for #2 changed due to searcher confusion.
5/18/12 Clues updated due to changes.
4/6/11 clues changed due to path 'arrows' missing'.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANY BAGS ON OUTSIDE OF THESE OR ANY OF MY BOXES. IF YOU SEE IT, PLEASE REMOVE. LOG BOOK SHOULD BE IN A BAG.

There is one log book for all boxes in the last box,
no need to put scraps of paper in first 2 boxes.

My thanks to Mim for once again showing her excellent carving skills on these three stamps.

Patriot Place Mall is in front of Gillette Stadium; home of the New England Patriots. Behind the mall is an old cranberry bog, boardwalk and nature trail. The Nature Trail is a lovely pine needle floored walk around the bog.
You may want to bring a camera as there are some interesting 'characters' dispersed in the bog. After your search you may want to do some shopping, take in a movie or whatever the mall has to offer.

DIRECTIONS:
From the north: Interstate 93 South (S.E. Expressway) to Interstate 95 South; Take Interstate 95 South to Exit 9 (Wrentham) onto Route 1 South. Follow Route 1 South approximately 3 miles to Patriot Place (on the left).

From the south: Interstate 495 North to Exit 14A onto Route 1 North. Follow Route 1 North approximately 4 miles to Patriot Place (on the right).

Enter the mall area by way of Bass Pro Drive and follow the signs for Cranberry Walk/Nature Trail parking. You will be going to the right of Bass Pro shop. After parking follow the tar path and signs to the trail area.

Cross the boardwalk and after admiring the 'bog' area follow the fence to the end on the soft wood chip path.
There is a small path going left into the woods at fences end. Take it and pass a vernal pool and then a deep depression both on your right. At end of depression go left off trail 19 steps to a medium oak with its dead sibling to the back side for the BUCK.

Return to the wood chip path and go left eventually going over a small bridge. When you see a large group of felled trees on the right and the path turns sharp right downhill you will see a large toppled tree. At the almost perpendicular limb walk straight behind it 47 steps to a large 'V' dead fall. At the 'V' the RAM awaits. Please replant box flat to ground and cover.

Return to the wood chip path. In a very short time look right for a 30 foot tall decapitated dying tree and a much larger healthy one right next to it. Head towards the water here and find a few white birch dead falls. Where the trees cross you will find the BERRIES. Please return log to bag and lay box flat and cover it.

Continue on the main trail a short distance, looking up to your left you will see the parking lot and a path leading to it.

I hope you enjoyed this walk. I go here often to walk and just relax. We may meet up there some time.
