~Make your way to the Darling Road Preserve on Darling Road in Salem.
This is a wonderful preserve that I recently discovered.
My husband and I, and the three pups, had an incredible walk here the day we planted. We were even lucky enough to see a most magnificent pair of deer running through the woods just a short distance from us. They were huge and so graceful.
You will need red for this image.
After parking, head uphill on red. This walk is just a sweet little trip through the woods. You will pass a huge old Oak as well as walk through stone walls (one few times.
Continue on until you come to an intersection with a map on it. From here, turn left and pass a "gaping" tree. Just after this you will pass another stone wall.
Stop. From the Birch at the end of the wall, walk about 6 steps along the right side of the wall. There you should see a large hole (present before we planted). Look behind the small trapdoor there to find this box.
When you are done, please put he box back with the trapdoor showing.

We do "care a lot" for letterboxing ;-)
