With Waterfalls permission, Rubaduc and Skip are continuing the "classic" Waterfalls series.

DIRECTIONS: Great Hollow Lake in Monroe, CT is located off of Purdy Hill Rd. on Doc Silverstone Dr. There seems to be a new rule in effect: Dogs are no longer allowed in the park. So very sorry!

Enter past the gate house, and park at the first turn-off on the right. Walk a short distance, down to the Lake. At the "No Dogs" post, take a right onto the trail. This is a double-sided stamp, and is Fixin' a Hole in the Hey Jude Letterboxes, located on the same trail. Don't Ask Me Why, but these letterboxes are notorious for getting flooded in the Rain.

Follow the trail until you come to the fork (two blazes over one blaze). Take the left fork until you come to a wooden picnic table. Look ahead to see the metal bench. Between the table and the bench is a coppery-colored boulder, sort of like a Yellow Submarine.

The boulder points to a tree on the bank of the brook. Across from the tree is a tumbled stone wall, climbing up the hill. A short distance alongside of the wall is a tree with a block of blue wood nailed to it. Waterfall twenty-three Letterbox (Fixin'the Hole)is concealed in the wall. PLEASE try not to remove any rocks from the wall because it is an historic marker.

To Get Back, retrace your steps. Waterfalls Twenty-two and Hey Jude Bonus Boxes are nearby.
