***MISSING***

One of the best memories I have as a young parent was Christmas Eve at my Mom's. We'd all crowd into the the minivan and head down to her house where she and Poppy would be waiting with orange drink and spiked Egg Nog. The smell of freshly baked ham and Lithuanian Sausage with Saurkraut surrounded you as you walked through their door. We'd ooh and aah over the tree and laugh about them always buying the fattest tree on the lot. They needed to get their money's worth. My Dad always put the Lionel trains and a garden under the tree, that was his contribution to my Mom's big night. After feasting on Mom's delicous buffet, we'd sit and reminise about Christmas when we were kids. The knock at the front door was the highlight of the evening! The kids (and us parents, as well) squirmed in our seats in anticipation as the door burst open! The "Big Guy in the Red Suit" was standing right in her living room! With his bag filled with gifts, Santa proceeded to treat us all royally. The kids were no good after that! We hurridly opened the presents, said our goodbyes and rushed home. Would we make it home before Santa arrived? I've enjoyed many other Christmas Eves but none of them were as memorable at Christmas Eve at Nanny D's!

Make your way to Piney Run Park. From the jct. of Rtes. 32 and 26, head about 3 miles to White Rock Rd. Make a right on White Rock and go 1.8 miles. Turn right on Martz Road . Follow Martz Rd to the Park gate. Go through the gate and bear right at the first big intersection toward the boat ramp. Watch for several sets of steps on the right. Find the set that heads up to the playground. Look under the top landing on the left for what you seek. it's under a flat rock. Watch for muggle activity in the summer months.
