Letterboxers would much rather be out hunting boxes than thinking about dinner so here is a recipe for you to use on those days when you think you can't possible get out because there is nothing for dinner!

CHECKED 12/18/10 AD TOMATOES ARE GONE
Begin your meal in the Rose Garden. I bet you can figure out which park. Look among the rocks to the right and above the memorial for WW2 vets. Find the beech tree and on the bottom left behind the triangle rock is your first ingredient: tomatoes.

Drive on down the road into the park and pull in the lot by the tennis courts. Between the lots is a BIG tree. From there head to the line of rocks. Chicken is behind the biggest one, mid way along.

Continue along the road. At the swtop sign go straight. Pull into the first 'lot' on the left. Go over, under, around, but not thru, the orange chain on the trail.Take the first trail on the right. Walk till you see and escarpment on the right. Garlic can be found in the V of the last 2 rocks on the right.

Return to the car, continue in the same direction. At the stop sign go straight, then right at the fork. Pull over just before the road with the dead end sign.
Go back to the blue marked trail sign and walk down the mulched path. When said mulched path heads uphill go straight along the stream. Look left for a pile of rocks. Seasonings is under rocks behind the dead tree stump.
Return to the car.

Drive past the pond on the left and at the stop turn into the parking lot. Go to the far back corner on the side in which you entered. Under the pines in a small cluster of rocks is Wash Up. Please add some better covering when you find this one. I was fighting dark to get it planted. Thanks. COULDNT CHECK THIS ONE-A CAR PARKED RIGHT IN FRONT

Continue in the clearing with the picnic table ahead. Find the trail heading downhill between Christmas trees. Look to the right before going too far to find a large downed tree. Where it touches the standing tree is Buon Appetite and a log book!

You can use these ingredients to make Chicken Paprikash and I bet you can find other recipies for a crock pot to simmer all day.

1 lb boneless chicken cut into 1/4 inch strips
1/2 lb small mushrooms
1 lg onion cut in wedges
1 med grn pepper diced
1 lg clove garlic, crushed
4 t paprika
1 can whole tomatoes
1 can beef broth
1/2 c red wine
1 T Worchestershire sauce
1 8 oz pkg egg noodles uncooked
1/2 C sr cream

In dutch oven heat 2 T oil over med heat. Add chicken and saute till brown. Add mushrooms, onion, pepper and garlic. Saute 2 min. add paprika, saute 1 more min. Stir in tomatoes in their liquid, beef broth and wine. Stir in Wortcestershire sauce, 1/4t salt and 1/8t pepper. Break up tomatoes with a spoon. Bring to a boil, simmer covered 20 min.

stir noodles into veal mixture. simmer uncovered, stirring frequently so noodles don't stick. 12 min or until noodles are tender. Remove from heat; stir in sour cream.

Makes 4 servings
