In search of Sycamore...

You will start your journey on the corner of a place whose namesake is the Sycamore Tree. Yet, not one mature Sycamore can be seen only saplings and adolescents. If you look around you will see the cinnamon trail, named for its color. Follow this trail along the river but beware of occasional hershey kisses or snicker bars along the way. As you approach the kissing cousins of Sycamore and Cypress, you will reach a forbidden zone. It can be very hot here, so listen for the fire engines coming. Walk through this area and away from the Cypress saplings. Follow this trail to the point where the great barrier ends and the tame and the wild meet. You are very close to the treasure now. Walk up the trail 5 more paces and turn your back to the tame. You will be face to face with an oak, and Boney Mountain will be on your right in the distance. From the middle of the trail take 7 paces behind the oak tree. Under some rocks (not in the bushes) your treasure will be had.

Once you have found what you have been looking for, you can either follow your footsteps safely back home or continue along the path back to take in the area views and wind up at the Sycamore Coyotes Den.

This is a family friendly hunt. Strollers would be able to make the letterbox journey.

Directions to start of Trail:
