Facing the ‘Bowman Street Conservation Area’ carved map, take the trail to the left. Continuing, see a place to picnic. Stop if you wish, or continue straight. An unmarked right turn brings you to a neat campfire and gathering place. Check it out if you like, or continue straight. If you stop at the campsite, go back to the trail and continue in the direction up the hill.
Follow the trail through a unique area with Pine Trees. Don’t take the 1st path off to the right. You’ll take the 2nd right hand trail – but be careful as it’s not as well traveled-really!!. If you reach the water, you’ve gone too far.
Look for the blue markings on the trees. This path stays VERY close to the water. You’ll walk this trail that’s carved right into the side of the hill.
Cross the bridge and stop on the island if you like, but continue down this path – along the hill – down, then up, continuing along the water.
Follow this path along the reservoir. Gaze out to view Sandra Pond. Continue on the path dug into the side of this large hill.
Around the corner, a small bench awaits you where you can sit and relax, or continue without the rest. Continue on the path along the water and soon, a place where a bench used to be bench awaits you-look for two big round holes in the ground.
You will see a bridge down the hill on the left. Head down the hill towards the bridge and cross over it. Be careful.
After you cross the bridge you will cross over the small brook on your left. Look for a large rock and look for your treasure! After stamping in, continue home by going back over the bridge that you just came across and turn left up the hill.
Continue on the path through the woods and through to the opening to a somewhat familiar grassy area. You will come to the picnic facilities - turn left on the path. Your car should be within sight.
