Borrowed Directions:
Take interstate 395 to exit 85. Go east on RT 138 toward Voluntown. Keep going through the lights unil you come to a 4 way intersection RT.138 & 201. Take Right on to RT 201. You will come to another 4 way intersection this time RT 201 and 165. Go straight across and drive approx 1 mile. Take left on to Gilliver RD. Go 1.2 miles, just past cemetary. Drive past the first parking area, and just past it you will see a small parking area on the left side of the road. Park here and cross the road.
On the trail you will see a pond on your right (hiding a letterbox, look up box 47397) then after you have walked a while more you will see a pond on your left. Here there is a Y in the trail. Take a right, going uphill, count 75 steps. This should bring you to the top of the hill. Look to your left and see a large tree has fallen over. The tiny turkey is hiding at its feet.
This is a good hike for little kids, not too long, and plenty to see on the way. Enjoy!
(Flowerpower is also in the area)
