Originally planted by Rubaduc and adopted in December 2011 by The Flip Flopper.

The Ct. Walk Book says "from the junction of route 229 and route 72, travel south 0.3 mile on route 229; turn right on Lake Avenue and quickly turn right on Sunnydale Ave."

Rubaduc says "after turning onto Sunnydale, turn immediately right into the Park and Ride lot, looking left just as you enter to see the blue blazes on the trees."

The hike is a mile round trip on the blue with yellow dot trail. If you continue on after finding the box, the trail becomes "messy" before getting to some REAL uphill hiking. This trail has been relocated to "accommodate" new houses (but we won't "harp" on that). No ink in box.

After finding the blues blazes, the trail goes in back of a few houses (this might get overgrown in summer) and a business. Once you start going uphill you'll see magnificent rock ledges/formations in front of and to the right of you. The trail goes up and over the western end of these and then begins to follow the power lines. You're looking for a multi (two sister?) evergreen (Hemlock?) uphill to your right, with lots of rocks at it's base (this isn't right away, you have to walk half a mile, remember?) Take a stick and poke around in back of the largest flat faced rock. Recover with leaves.

After replacing the box you can continue on for lots more hiking or go back to your car.
