It wasn't unusual for MizS to lose something on the trail, but his time she had really done it. She couldn't remember where she had put her car. She had spent the day hiking with Lighten Bug, Rick from Boca, Maple Leaf Red and Jersey Trail Blazers. They had tramped all over the park, reverse engineered some clues and now she had to head home. The others had gone on to find another box but she was out of time.
Vista trail? That sounded familar. Where the heck were the blazes? She trudged to the summit and decided to have a seat in a convenient chair, how thoughtful of someone to leave 2 chairs.
Discouraged she sat down and rummaged in her pack for a snack. What was this? A note on a scrap of paper, V-tree, 305 degrees, 17, 5 degrees, slanted rock. What the heck, I'll give it a try.
