After Prohibition ended, Amston, Connecticut was the home of United Distillers, which remainwd in business until 1961. Although the operation was not financially successful many types of hard liqour were marketed under a variety of names including Mill Spring Whiskey, Old Amston Bourbon, Rockwood Dry Gin, Rockford Rye, Rocky Ford Blended Whiskey and Unity Club Bourbon.
Here's to Amston!
Clues: From the Airline Trail parking area on Route 85 in Amston head south on the trail. Watch to the left for the old chimney (also visible from Route 85). Take a sharp left onto the spur trail and continue until you see the concrete structure beside the pond on your left. Opposite the middle pillar look for the sentry that's three and a half sheets to the wind. He's probably not too effective at guarding your prize!
