Our Girl Scout troop placed our first letterbox after we learned about letterboxing at Girl Scout Camp. The stamp is our troop's crest.
The letterbox is located off Lavista Road between Oak Grove Road and Pangborn Road.
Park in Master's Lodge #295.
Face the lodge, then turn left and look for a stone path in the woods.
(note:this parking lot is shared with the adjacent school during school hours. Best to search for letterbox on weekends or after school hours)
After your long hike of approximately 25 steps down the gravel path, take a rest at the SOLO picnic table. You will see a large tree bordered by two small dogwoods. The letter box in under the azalea that is closest to the the large tree. PLEASE BE DISCREET and don't give away the location to people passing by!
When you open the box, you'll find our troop crest wrapped in felt in a ziploc bag. Please sign/stamp and date our journal as well! THANKS for searching.
