O.K. I know this is in Stafford but I wanted to plant in her hometown of Somers so I lie.

Going east on route 190 in Somers (just as you go into Stafford) look for the brown sign for Shenipsit State Forest. Turn right onto Sodom Rd. and go approximately four tenths of a mile to parking on the right. Along Sodom Rd. you'll notice blue blazes and at this parking area the blue trail goes into the woods. No more driving.

Very short easy hike. One mile round trip. No ink in box. Any color will work.

Follow blue blazes from the parking lot. Pass an old metal shed on the left and at the double blaze turn left on blue (you may have noticed some white circles on the trees, these blazes are for runners and at this left turn, the white goes straight) going uphill you'll pass a rocky ledge/rockpile on the left. Keep following blue and come to another left (at this point white circles will rejoin our path) with another rocky ledge on the left. This one has a really neat tree growing out of it. Still going uphill you'll walk with a smooth rock ledge underfoot and when the trail levels out you'll come to another left with the white circles going straight. Go straight on white 15 steps, look right for a two sister yellow banded tree. From here walk rightish to the end of the pile of flatish mossy rocks/boulders and look behind a wood wedge at ground level.
