This Letterbox is part of my CT Quickies Series.

The other day I was running errands and wished I could be letterboxing. The weather was sunny, warm, and I thought to myself wouldn’t it be great if you could do both? So I decided to plant some boxes in traveling paths. Maybe you could grab these on your way to other boxes or while running errands. Most of these boxes are in high traffic areas so some stealth is required. My suggestion park your car, retrieve the box and bring it back to the car, stamp, log, and then return the box to its resting place.

Box has no ink please bring your own

The Stars and Stripes letterbox is located at Fireman’s Field in Monroe CT. Fireman’s Field is located at the intersection of Rt 110 and Rt 111, there is a third street running behind it named Moose Hill Road. You are going to want to park on the Moose Hill Road side.

Clues:

Go to the Entering Historic Monroe Sign located on the Moose Hill side of Fireman’s field. Tucked in the stone wall directly behind the sign, closer to the top is the Stars and Stripes letterbox.

Enjoy-may the faerie dust lighten your day!
