-The Black Crow at Quivet Cemetery-

Placed by Will(The Headless Hunter, or Scargo Boy if you so wish :-)
Located in: Dennis, Cape Cod, MA, off of Rt 6A

Side Note:
*****MISSING***** I am planning on replacing this in the very near future. Keep checking back!!

Quivet Cemetery is a very beautiful cemetery to go visit and relax,(especially around mid October when the leaves change.) It is located just off Rt.6A in Dennis, overlooking Quivet Creek and the marsh. It is connected to Crowe's Pasture, which is a conservation area roughly covering 250 acres. It is a great place to go walking and leads out to Cape Cod Bay.

Directions coming from Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, etc...

On 6A heading towards Dennis, just past the town line coming from Brewster you will see Airline Rd. on your left and directly across to your right is School St. Turn right down School St. Then take an immediate right down South St. Continue on for just a little ways until you eventually see Quivet Cemetery on your right.

Directions coming from Yarmouth, Barnstable, Hyannis, etc...

Take 6A into Dennis, and continue up eventually crossing the intersection at Rt. 134. Continue for a ways passing such sites as the Worden Hall Art Gallery on your right. Continue until you come to a series of signs on the left side of the road, located on School St.(directly across from Airline Rd. to your right and the Dennis/Brewster town line 100 or so feet past School St.) Turn left down School St.(A series of signs mark School St. like "Cold Storage Beach, and The Jacob Sears Library"...) Travel for a hundred feet or so then turn right down South St and follow that up for a ways until you spot Quivet Cemetery on your right hand side.

You can also take Rt. 134 North if you are coming from the Mid Cape highway and turn right onto 6A at the intersection of 134 and 6A.

-Directions to The Black Crow at Quivet-

Once you have spotted the Cemetery on your right, you can turn right down the first paved narrow road leading into the cemetery. If you would like to stop and leave the car parked on the way, to walk it, you can or there is a small parking area for cars leading into Crowe's pasture at the end of South St. near the end of the graveyard.
As the road turns to the left, you should see a small stubby marker on your right.(You have already passed the Charles A. Keene tomb on your right.) Standing in front of the marker you will see a low to the ground stone wall and immediately ahead two posts about 2 feet high with a tree growing between them.(Note how the tree has grown itself through the rusted metal bar joining the two posts.)Near the base of the post on the right is the black crow flown in from the pasture under some stones and leaves.
