This is a fragil wildlife area with nesting birds and small critters. Please so not bring your dog with you as they may disturb some of the wild ones that make their home here. We even left Mona home when we scoped out the area and planted the boxes. Thanks in advance!

Make your way to Saw Mill Road in Middletown. From I-91 North take the exit for Country Club Road. At the end of the ramp take a right onto Middle Street. At the stop sign take a left onto Boardman Lane, left onto Bell Street and then right onto Saw Mill Road. From I-91 South, take the exit for Country Club Road. At end of ramp take a left, then a right onto Middle Street. From there, follow the directions above.

When you get to Saw Mill Road look on the left for a wire gate with a conservation sign on the post, park there. Walk down the road towards the pond to the double orange blazes and start there. Follow the orange blazed trail until you come to a tree felled by beavers laying across the path.( As of January 2012 the tree has been cut in half, so look for the cut end on the left ) At that tree look to the left and in the V under a rock and leaves for the Beaver box.

Continue down the trail, skirting the pond and heading back out to the road. At the road go right and over the water, back into the woods on orange. At the top of the small hill look on your left for a large oak tree. About 12 steps to the left of the tree you will see a stump with a rock on it. Look under the rock for the Dragonfly box.

After stamping in, continue on orange for a very short distance until you come to blue. Take a right onto blue and follow the pond until you see a twin sister white birch with a small white pine in front of it on the left. Look at the base of the birches for the last box, Turtle and the logbook.

PLEASE cover these boxes well. This is a very busy fishing area and I'm afraid they will go missing very easily if you guys aren't careful. Please re hide them well. Thanks!

This is a great little place, take a few minutes and enjoy it.
