Go to the elementary school that Pack 1 Chepachet Cub Scouts attend. Locate the David Chace Trail. Follow the trail until you see picnic tables on your right. On the path you will see a large rock. Start next to the rock and continuing forward up the trail, count 10 paces. There will be a three-trunked tree on your left. The box is in the crook of the tree under a flat rock. Please recover the box with the rock and be sure that leaves help to hide its view from the trail.
This trail was named for our famous and most handsome gym teacher who retired in 2009. The school uses the trail to teach our students about nature. Our Scouts have been active in helping to keep the trail cleared. We hope to expand the trail in the future. Enjoy!
