This is the second letterbox I have planted on the Foxburg Bike Trail. As you hike/bike the trail, you will actually come to this box first; however, it is #2 because it was planted almost a year after the first one.

Directions to the Foxburg Bike Trail:
From I-80 West- Get off at Exit 45 (Emlenton/ St. Petersburg exit). Turn left onto Rt. 208. Immediately turn left onto Rt. 478. Go appx. 2-2 ½ miles and turn right onto Rt. 58. Go until you come to the bridge. At bridge, turn left into a parking lot (Foxburg Inn, library, pizza place, winery). Do not cross the bridge! You will have to drive past several business to get to the start of the bike trail.
From I-80 East- get off at Exit 45 ( Emlenton/ St. Petersburg exit). Take right onto Rt. 478. Travel appx. 2-2 ½ miles and turn right onto Rt. 58. Go until you come to the bridge. At bridge, turn left into a parking lot (Foxburg Inn, library, pizza place, winery). Do not cross the bridge! You will have to drive past several businesses to get to the start of the bike trail.

Park on the back side of the red caboose that sits in the parking lot; where you will see the entrance to the bike trail. Hike or bike down the trail until you pass the 0.5 mile marker. A little further down the trail (appx. 1/2 way between the 0.5 mile marker and the 1.0 mile marker), you will see a large rock structure on your left up in the woods. Climb up the STEEP foot path up to the rock wall. We managed to do this with our 4 yr. old, but it is pretty steep! After examining this cool rock structure, go around the front to the right hand side. On this side wall, you will find the rock monster hiding in a hole behind a bunch of smaller rocks. Please take the rock monster somewhere discrete to stamp up, and be sure to hide him well within the hole so that no one disturbs his slumber on accident.

You will need your own ink for this box. Please let me know if the box needs any attention.
