This letterbox is located at the Crocker Pond Conservation Area in Wrentham, MA.

Directions:
Location is easily accessed by I-495 and 95. If coming off I-495, take exit 14A. This will bring you to Route 1 North. At your second set of lights, take a left onto Thurston Street. Be careful at this intersection. Travel on Thurston Street about 1-2 miles and take a right onto Myrtle Street. Continue on Myrtle Street until you see a small gravelled parking area on the right side of the road with a sign for the Crocker Pond Conservation Area. You will be able to see Crocker Pond across the street from the parking area. Park here.

From 95, take exit 9. This will bring you to Route 1 South. You will pass Gillette Stadium on your left. Keep an eye out for the white entering Wrentham sign on the right side of Route 1. After you see that sign, take a right at your first set of lights onto Thurston Street. Park here.

Clues:

This walk will take you about 15-20 minutes to find the letterbox. You will be traveling on a path that follows along Crocker Pond. Cross the street to Crocker Pond. You will see an old cement dam that blocks or releases (depending on water level) water into a brook. When facing Crocker Pond with the dam on your right, you want to turn LEFT and walk along the side of the pond. You will come to an area with a small wooden bench to sit. Keep on traveling. You will come to a section that is somewhat swampy and the path becomes closer to Myrtle Street. If you come in the spring, you may get your feet a little muddy at this point. The path becomes narrower and more pronounced at this point at goes up a small hill. Continue on the path along the side of Crocker Pond. You will notice as you go further and further back that Crocker Pond gets a bit swampier and turns into a wetland. When you reach a T, take a RIGHT. You will be walking on a path of a narrow strip of land between Crocker Pond (swampy section of it) on your right and a wetland on your left. When you come to a wooden bridge get ready to find the letterbox. Walk over the bridge and take about 12 steps. On your right you will see a white pine that has split into two trunks at about 4 feet above its base. (About three feet to the right of the white pine is a big square rock.) The letterbox is located at the base of that white pine on the side away from the trail. It is hidden under pine needles and leaves, so brush them away and you will see the white letterbox. Stamp in and re-hide. Turn around and trace your steps to return to your car!

This is a mini box so bring a pen and stamp pad.
