This box has been retired and removed as of 7/09

NOTE: In late March 2004 the dam broke and there is now a chasm through the causeway which has drained much of the pond. Though the box is still in place, you need to cross a small stream and we don't recommend it for those with children.
As of 9/05 the dam is still not fixed and there are no immediate plans for repair.
As of 6/1/06 we've received word that there is now a geocache located right near the bonus box.

CLUE:
Take Route 66 turned upsidedown
To the place where blazing stars abound.
If you're still not sure where this place might be,
Here's another clue- or three!
1)The grasses here go on for miles.
2)Blueberry picking brings lots of smiles.
3)Check The Nature Conservancy files

Drive to the parking area and face the large sign.
Follow the path on your left in an almost straight line.
At the four-way crossing, head left down the hill.
Soon you'll come to a place where the water is still.
Cross over the pond using the causeway
Where bullfrogs croak and dragonflies play.
Walk 'til you arrive at the pine with the red painted dot.
Sixty steps on your right - sheet metal marks the spot!

When you open up this letterbox,
You'll find a clue to another nearby - "The Green Fox".
