This Letterbox is part of my CT Quickies Series.

The other day I was running errands and wished I could be letterboxing. The weather was sunny, warm, and I thought to myself wouldn’t it be great if you could do both? So I decided to plant some boxes in traveling paths. Maybe you could grab these on your way to other boxes or while running errands. Most of these boxes are in high traffic areas so some stealth is required. My suggestion park your car, retrieve the box and bring it back to the car, stamp, log, and then return the box to its resting place.

The Jester’s Cap Letterbox is at Spring Hill Park located in Trumbull, CT. This park is only 29 acres and is actually part of the rails to trails walking paths. You can access the park from either the Spring Hill side or if you are in Old Mine Park you can walk up the street and across the road to access it.

Clues:

Go to the intersection of the Main Road spur and Spring Hill spur which will be marked by a green sign. Follow the Main Road Spur for approx 57 paces until you see a five sister tree, one is a skinny minny on your right behind the crumbling stone wall. Alongside this sister on its right will be a curvy lady-tree walk to where this lady meets the stone wall at her trunk. On your-side (not hers) of the stone wall see the large black slate looking stone. You will find the Jesters cap behind/beneath it.

Enjoy-may the faerie dust lighten your day!
