Barrett Park Drive & Chestnut St
There are 2 boxes planted as surprise birthday presents for my granddaughter, little lion, and her dad, Syrupiat. Barrett Park is one of their favorite time together spots. It's a nice out of the way park with a playground, hiking trails, a waterfall (their special place), a pond to fish, and a picnic area.
To find this new 2010 birthday surprise: Park your car near the map sign and head down the path past the playground. Look for 41. Go left and keep walking past the bleacher, over the causeway to the end of the paved part (T intersection). Turn right following the Colburn Pond Loop Trail. Look for the tree with the bird house and head down the unpaved trail 42 until you reach the fence. Look right for an arrow. What you seek is where it makes a point!
