Hiking time: Allow 2 hours.
Getting there: From the intersection of Tangerine Road and Dove Mountain Boulevard in Marana, drive north 4.2 miles to the signed trailhead on the right.
Follow the Donkey Trail up the wash until it intersects with the Lower Peccary Trail. Turn left (north) onto the Lower Peccary Trail and follow it past large boulders on the left and right. Continue past a large double Saguaro on the left with two arms on each half. Just before the summit (and a fine view) are two Mesquites on the left.
At the crest find the rock with two, white horizontal stripes at 325° just below a larger rock with a notch in the top. The letterbox is behind the rock with the stripes under other smaller rocks.
Remember to be careful when retrieving the box. We met a Gila Monster on the way up.
