This is a little hike that we did with our children and one of their Grandmothers.
Go to the main entrance of the Pachaug State Forest off of Rt. 49. Follow the signs to Mt. Misery. There is a small parking area off of Firetower Rd. that is at the base on Mt. Misery.
Take the path to the right that goes beneath Mt. Misery. It will go up a little and then turn to rock. Soon after you will see a tree in the middle of the path. From this tree continue about 12 steps and look to the left. You will see a crevice in the boulders at about eye level. Just behind a small rock is Grandma's Promise.
Continue on the same trail until it takes a left turn. You will notice a narrow trail that goes up the rocks to the summit of Mt. Misery. Look between and first and second step, just behind a small rock for the response from the Grandchildren.
