Easy walk through the forest about .7 miles one-way on dirt path along utility district ditch. Bike and dog friendly.

From Highway 108 East, take the Hess Avenue Exit. Turn left onto Hess Avenue and then right onto Phoenix Lake Road for about 6.5 miles. Just after passing Longeway Road on the right, veer to the right at Belleview School onto Kewin Mill Road for about two miles to Cedar Ridge. After the “Welcome to Cedar Ridge” sign, Broken Pine Road is on the left. You are close. Make a right turn into the dirt parking area, not the paved driveway. If you go past the small firehouse, you have gone too far.

Catch the ditch path towards the green fence. Just past the organic apple orchard, there are sheds and two green water tanks. As you stand with your back to the smaller, unpainted shed, look for a large, v-trunked tree. The box is in the hollow at the base of the tree under pine needles. Please re-hide very well.

Continue to enjoy your walk all the way to Twain Harte.

Winter Weather Warning: During the winter months, Phoenix Lake Road can become icy and dangerous. Kewin Mill Road/Cedar Ridge can accumulate a lot of snow, and chains or four-wheel drive may be required. The clues and/or the box may be buried under snow. Best advice is not to try this during inclement weather.
