For this one, find East Cemetery in Litchfield. It's on the North side of Rt.118 just west of the Lourdes Shrine. According to the sign, this cemetery is open from May 1 through November 30 from 9 am to 5 pm. Not sure why, then, it was open today although it might have been for a funeral that came in while we were exploring.

Drive in the gate and follow the road to the right. Down a ways past some big rhododendrons there is s short "road" on the right across from an open area. Park here and head toward the old stones. Start your search at the friendly bench. From there, head to the big rectangular Gould monument. Next go west till you find the father and son who were governors of Connecticut, among other things. Go west some more and at FATHER, turn left. Go to the foot stone by itself and then west again to 2 children. Now turn left and go to the opening. Look for the daisy on the left side toward the bottom. It's to the right of the oval with grooves and a white mark. Be careful of the wall.

Make sure all bags are well sealed and the "box" is well hidden.
