Starting point in Lake Jackson, Texas (Brazoria County) at the intersection of HWY 332 and Lake Road. Take Lake Road south 1.5 miles to MacLean Park. Park near the pavilion and walk to the trail begining (SPC Monica Brown Trail) on the west side of the tennis courts. Follow the trail past Cardinal Crossing, Gator Gulley and Whitetail Wilderness until you see a bench (BSA Troop 324, Eagle Scout Project, Cory Gabba, 2007) on the right side of the path. Setting in the bench to let your feet rest you will see a marker with the number 8. To the right side of the marker is a large oak tree, The Trails End is behind the tree covered with sticks and leaves. Please take care this is a well traveled path, cover well when finished. Follow the trail to the end to Wildflower Meadows, on the far side of the circle is a path that leads to the nature trail that will take you back to the beginning. We had a lot of fun on this part of the hike we stopped and ate wild berries and there are several spots to get a good view of the river.

This is a paved trail.
