I love reading with my daughter, and one of our favorite books is Pinkalicous. I book about a girl who eats too much Pink cupcakes and turns pink from it.
This will be a 2 mile loop in the Orchard Glen property of the wallingford Land trust. You will be starting accessing the trail at the end of culdasac of Barnes road north (an industrial park). Go down main trail Follow the WLT sign on the trees. Cross the stream over 2 boards. You will come to a trail sign in middle of trail that goes left or straight. Go left and follow to open field where power lines are. cross this field and keep following the WLT signs. You will come to a intersection, go left and pass a WLT Kiosk sign. keep following cross a stone bridge and you will be next to the highway. Seea very large sawed off stump and a trail that goes right and up. take this trail to some fallen trees on the fence and you will see a large stump on left that looks like a wooden chair. Look in the seat of the stump chair. Go back down to main trail and follow the WLT signs and then you come to a Barnes rd sign pointing left. Follow this trail over the stream, this will eventually take you to where the power lines are and where you started. Go right and retrace your way back to your car.
